Crisis Support begins the moment you are in contact with Hermes, and the support will look different for every organisation, and every situation.
Common aspects of support include:
Immediate deployment of a psychologist / social worker to the worksite.
Immediate phone-based support for leaders to manage the initial moments of the response. This may include deciding how to gather employees together, what can and can’t – or should and shouldn’t be discussed with employees, how to support other parties (such as immediate family).
Support during Next of Kin notification.
Identification of impacted individuals, and the extent of impact.
Post-intervention follow ups and ongoing support.
Report provision to document the response.
Training to address identified organisational gaps.
